New Orleans Project
When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in August of 2005, we (Nick and Maura Balaban) felt like we were part of the headline. We empathized with the musicians' loss of (at very least) their livelihoods, and feared for the loss of the most vital culture this country has to offer, one that takes the pursuit of happiness dead seriously.

We figured the best way to help out would be to laissez les bon temps roulet in our living room (party without having to go anywhere). We've had 11 great concerts (so far), featuring 22 outstanding musicians. Together, with friends, family and strangers, we've raised almost $15k to support this culture.

Please sample the sounds that passed through our living room and know that when you purchase a cd, the profits go directly to the musicians. Hopefully we'll be having more concerts in the future so if you're not already on it, put your email in the box to be put on the mailing list. By the way, anyone can do this, and it's crazy fun.
